DESCRIPTION
Join Varun Soni, USC Dean of Religious and Spiritual Life, and Sameer Gadhia, lead singer and co-founder of Young the Giant, for an inspiring conversation about the importance of creativity in the time of COVID.

Gadhia has been present on the alternative radio charts for 10 years as the lead singer of his Southern California rock band, and lauded as “one of the great contemporary rock voices” by The New York Times. The son of immigrants from India, who came to the U.S. shortly before he was born, he has ruminated on issues of culture and diversity for most of his life. This summer, Gadhia launched Point of Origin, an all-new SiriusXM show in which he features artists of color in an effort to foster a divergent narrative for the alternative music scene.

The THRIVE series of dialogues on wellbeing is part of USC AMPLIFIED, a new, campuswide speaker series that highlights diverse perspectives from some of today’s most engaging and dynamic figures in entertainment, business, politics, sports, science, the arts, and beyond. In this unprecedented time of struggle and isolation, THRIVE will provide critical opportunities for the USC community to feel connected, inspired, and empowered.
