Game Day at Doheny
Part of Let’s Play: A Three-Part Series on Tabletop Gaming and Social Change
ADMISSION:
Admission is free and open to current USC students, staff, and faculty only. RSVP beginning Monday, January 5, 2026, at 10 a.m.
DESCRIPTION:
Seasoned strategists, casual hobbyists, social gatherers, and curious newcomers are invited to connect, compete, have fun, and reconsider tabletop gaming as an agent for social change at Game Day at Doheny.
Fifteen stations will feature modern classics such as Catan and Ticket to Ride alongside newer favorites like Wingspan, Pox, Daybreak, and Spirit Island, which can delve into themes of gender, power, and colonization. Join guided play, casual matches, and structured tournaments—or head to the open-play zone, where student-designed and prototype games will make their public debuts. Players of all levels are welcome!
This event is part of Let’s Play, a three-part series exploring how tabletop games can inspire social change. Related events include a panel with leading designers and an exhibition highlighting games and the power of play to educate, connect, and transform.
