Directed by USC Kaufman faculty Achinta S. McDaniel, the first event will feature screenings of award-winning dance films by Kaufman students and faculty. Kaufman BFA students will perform excerpts of new works by renowned dancer-choreographers Yin Yue founder of Yin Yue Dance Company, NYC) and Peter Chu (chuthis., Las Vegas). Yue and Chu will then join the Kaufman artists for a conversation about creating work and navigating the professional dance world in a panel moderated by USC professor Bonnie Oda Homsey, which will include filmmakers Hayden Rivas and Ryan Phuong and USC professor Tiffany Bong and McDaniel.
