DESCRIPTION:
Following a reading from her memoir, I Want to Be Where the Normal People Are, Rachel Bloom will discuss her writing, acting, singing, comedy, and more with USC professor Karen Tongson, chair of Gender & Sexuality Studies and co-host of the podcast Waiting to X-Hale.

Rachel Bloom is best known as the co-creator and star of the CW musical dramedy, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. For her performance as Rebecca Bunch, she won a Golden Globe, Critics’ Choice Award, and TCA Award. Bloom also sold out Radio City Music Hall and the London Palladium performing Crazy Ex-Girlfriend: Live and starred in her own solo tour, What Am I Going To Do with My Life Now? In 2020, she released I Want to Be Where the Normal People Are, a collection of laugh-out-loud personal essays, all told in the unique voice (sometimes singing voice) that made her a star.
