DESCRIPTION:
USC students! How will you lead change in a world faced with unprecedented crises? Arts in Action, a new program that plants seeds for positive social change by activating arts projects between L.A. community partners and USC faculty and students, invites you to join forces with other artists and activists, respond to that challenge, and make a difference.

EMPOWER is a unique and dynamic event where students will set the agenda. Following inspiring presentations from community organizations and social enterprises, including Black Lives Matter, Street SymphonyPublic Matters, and CONTRA-TIEMPO, teams of students will determine the issues to address and pitch ideas for how to challenge injustice, fight oppression, and imagine solutions with art. Designed for all students who want to create change through the arts, the event can be used as a springboard for developing your skills, growing your network of collaborators, or simply finding out more about how to get involved.

Prizes will be awarded and opportunities will be given to put your ideas in action!

Presented by USC Arts in Action.
