Mining the Archives: A Workshop with Kimberly Drew

DESCRIPTION:
In conjunction with her talk later that evening, USC students and faculty are invited to join art influencer Kimberly Drew for an intimate and interactive workshop exploring the archival collections at ONE Archives, the largest depository of LGBTQ materials in the world.
At the workshop, Drew and the participants will select items to pull from the archive, examine, and discuss. The experience will allow participants to interact with Drew on a personal level, while handling some of ONE Archives' two million archival items including periodicals, books, film, video and audio recordings, photographs, artworks, organizational records, and personal papers.
Lunch will be provided.
