Admission is free and open to current USC students only, who must use the provided transportation to attend. Space is limited and advance registration is required. RSVP beginning Monday, August 3, at 10 a.m.

Tickets will be distributed at check-in on the day of the event. Check-in will begin at 5:30 p.m. on campus. Buses will depart at 6:15 p.m. and return to campus at 10:30 p.m. Dinner will be provided.

Set in the vibrant world of pre-conquest Tenochtitlan, Mexico, this powerful reimagining of a classic tragedy confronts themes of loyalty, familial duty, and the clash between divine law and state edict. Weaving in pre-Hispanic music and poetry, this timeless story brings Aztec mythology to life in a rich historical tapestry that resonates across cultures, pitting love and defiance against tyranny.

USC students are invited to this Experience LA trip to see Antigone: In the Language of Kings, presented by The Getty Villa’s Outdoor Classical Theater series. This unique venue is modeled after ancient Greek and Roman prototypes, continuing an 8,000-year-old architectural tradition. Working with local and nationally acclaimed theater companies, this series ambitiously reimagines and revives the myths and plays of antiquity, from the most venerated to long-overlooked works.
